Finesse, dried flowers and minerality describe the 2001 Brut. Impressive in its delivery, this sparkling wine demands attention with a nose of unusual depth. Kiwi fruit, patisserie, apple strudel, crocus, and melon are offset by intense dried flowers such as myrrh, baby’s breath and Artemisia. The mouth bursts forth with lime cordial, passion fruit, piñon on a backbone of mineral flavors reminiscent of silica and mica. The mouth gradually evolves back to its citrus roots that ride to a persistent finish of lingering crisp and clean acidity. [ download pdf ]
