Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you host weddings?

A: No. Per our permit, we cannot host weddings.

Q: May I bring my dog?

A: Animals are not permitted in any of our indoor tasting spaces except for service animals with credentials. We kindly ask that dogs at our outdoor tastings be kept on a leash.

Q: Do you allow picnicking?

A: No, consumption of outside food or beverages is not allowed on our estate. There are several lovely parks in Yountville with picnic tables where you may enjoy your lunch.

Q: Can my group purchase a bottle to drink at the winery?

A: No. We offer wine tastings and wines by the glass so that guests can learn and experience a variety of our wines.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No. Smoking is not permitted in any indoor or outdoor tasting spaces.

Q: Can I take drone footage or professional photographs or videos on the property?

A: Professional photography and/or videos and drone activity are not permitted without prior authorization. Please contact our marketing department, marketing@ledefamilywines.com, to see how we might accommodate you.

Q: Do you offer tastings for larger groups?

Q: Can I bring my child to the winery?

A: With the exception of the Reserved Table and VIP tastings, we are unable to accommodate anyone who is less than 21 years of age; this includes toddlers and babies in arms. We ask that guests with Reserved Table tastings who bring guests under the age of 21 provide appropriate supervision. Guests under 21 years of age may not consume alcohol at any time.

Q: Do I need a reservation to visit your winery?

A: Reservations are recommended for most experiences, but walk-ins are welcome.

Q: What should I wear to a winery in Napa Valley?

A: “Wine Country Casual” is a frequently used term that encompasses a wide variety of styles. You will see everything from jeans to dresses, but the most important thing is to be comfortable. Prepare for weather that can change from cool and foggy in the morning to hot and sunny by mid-day. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, especially if you plan to take a tour or walk in a vineyard.

Q: What is the best storage temperature for wine?

A: The most cited storage temperature for wine is approximately 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature fluctuation, freezing, and extreme heat should always be avoided.

 Q: What food pairs well with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon?

A: Our team frequently cites grilled ribeye or dry-aged strip as a favorite pairing, but there are many other superb options, including grilled lamb chops or lamb korma, Osso buco, duck breast or venison with a berry reduction, wild mushroom risotto, and aged hard cheeses.

Q: Do you serve food with your wine tastings?

Q: Can I ship wine home from your winery?
